On my return towards the entrance of this tall walled slot canyon, I am greeted by this play of light and shade, going from neutral darkness toward shadowed blueish magenta into the fire of reflected sunlight. I have passed this opening on several occasions, maybe it was the approaching heat, but I never had seen this as strongly colored.
