The slot canyons in the Anza Borrego desert provide an ever changing composition of light and forms. I had just passed this point minutes earlier and had worked on a composition that was quite pleasing. As I returned the sun had moved to a point that the reflected light turned this one column into a molten fiery flow of sand and stone.
